Hi Mike - and welcome to the forums
There are various options in the "Bible Text Only" section of the visual filter menu so you can get something like this

Yes, Mike (and welcome to the forums), you can do that:
Click on the Visual Filters icon for your Bible.
Expand the Bible Text Only menu.
Uncheck Chapter/Verse numbers.
