The textual variants guide has great verse-based manuscript information in Logos 8 Desktop. Hoping more is available outside the guide.
Is there an easy way in Logos to determine...
1. Which manuscripts do/don't contain the verse
- For example, for a verse in Revelation, which manuscripts are witnesses to the text?
- Can the manuscript explorer filter by verse to show which manuscripts have the verse?
- If a verse is missing, can we tell if was it missing in the original manuscript or it was damaged?
2. Transcription confidence for a verse by manuscript
- Is the verse physically intact and clear for transcription, or partially intact requiring some guessing?
3. Scribal comments, corrections and decisions
- Which verses have scribal comments or corrections - to know when to bother looking at it?
- Can scribal comments be seen without following external links to the document image?
- Which variants were written, or corrected and maybe even again overturned?
4. Translator notes from your library relevant to that verse
Appreciate any help as I want to understand the basis of various texts rather than flying blind. Seems desirable to be able to understand the manuscript evidence beyond what is shown in apparatuses and textual commentaries. But I'm not sure how much of this requires some heavy lifting. Thanks!
