I want to make a laptop purchase for my logos 8 software. Based on the recommended specifications which do you recommend
There is no one right answer to this but something with the latest i5 or above would work well. I’ve used Surface pro since the Surface Pro 3. So I’d say a Surface Pro 7 with an i5 and 8GB Ram would last you a good several years. My Microsoft store has always helped me with any problems which also factors into my recommendation.
I have been satisfied with my new 2019 ASUS ROG 15.6" FHD Gaming Laptop Computer, Intel Hexa-Core i7-9750H Up to 4.5GHz, 16GB DDR4, 1TB HDD + 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 802.11ac WiFi, HDMI, USB 3.0, Windows 10. I find it still performs well when I run beta and stable side by side.
Lenovo Legion y540 Win 10 i7 9750H, RTX 2060, 16GB RAM. 1TB SSD is probably overkill

Only buy a laptop if it has an SSD large enough that you will install Logos 8 on the SSD.
which do you recommend
I concur with Aaron Hayworth. I have been running Logos on Surface Pro since 2012. I find myself upgrading about every 4 years due to SSD capacity. I started with a SP1 in 2012, bought a SP4 in 2016 and just (30 minutes ago) ordered as SP7 with i7, 16GB ram & 256GB SSD. I also use a 256GB micro SD that holds all my data that is not Logos or System programs.
The benefit of having full Logos experience on one device that I can also remove the keyboard and use as a tablet for presentations outweighs in my mind all of the other 2-in-1 or laptop configurations.
