What is the best way to remove rarely used book from my hard drive in order to create more space. Are they still available in the searches if I do this?
thank you
Doug
Hi Doug
What is the best way to remove rarely used book from my hard drive in order to create more space.
If you open the Information pane in the Library panel and select a resource you will see an indication of whether or not it is downloaded. Clicking the Downloaded button gives you an option to remove it from your device. (If you select multiple volumes, you can remove them all at the same time).
Are they still available in the searches if I do this?
Yes, they appear in the Cloud section of the results. Clicking one of the search results shows you that the resource is not currently downloaded and gives you the option to do so

Graham, across the top of my Library, I get 2 titles [of columns]: Filter, and Title. I wonder how I would expand Library width to get what I call the Download area. Thank you.
I think i found the answer, use "remove from this device", when i right click on a book
That would do it!

My guess is you have the Library in Tile view as opposed to Details view
But you should still be able to see the Download Info by clicking the Information button, just above the red outline box in the screeshot
Thank you Graham... very helpful!
