On what kind of computer does Logos run the best? I am considering buying a new computer, and I have an IBM Compatible right now.
On what kind of computer does Logos run the best?
Thankful for Logos 5 and Verbum substantial feature parity; Wiki has => https://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences#Feature_Parity
Logos 5 and Verbum are resource intensive applications on Mac & PC – benefit from fast processor, graphics, and quick storage along with adequate memory; Solid State Disk (SSD) is noticeably faster than hard disk. For CPU, suggest Intel i7 or i5. Benchmarks => http://browser.primatelabs.com/processor-benchmarks allow performance comparison.
Suggest visiting an Apple Store for hands-on experience => http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/ Microcenter has Mac and PCs, including $ 100 off some new Mac models.
Windows 8.1 has two user interfaces fused together => http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9247572/Windows_8.1_Update_deep_dive_review_An_OS_that_makes_more_sense
Apple recently refreshed MacBook Pro models => http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/macbook-pro
Apple offers refurbished with same warranty as new => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac Older refurbished MacBook Pro model prices have dropped several hundred $$$.
For Windows, noticed CostCo has several models with discounts. Newegg has gaming notebook and desktop computers. Games are also resource intensive applications.

I have heard some claim Logos runs equally well on both platforms, i have heard others state either platform runs it better. All I can say is Logos runs well on my mac and most users seem to find it runs very well on their macs. All in all you will have to look at which platform you wish to work on and go from there. There may be a slight edge on Windows but as stated about there is virtual parity and runs fine on both.

i think on mac logos runs the best because I am also a mac user,, while my friend having windows says that on her computer logos don't run best
I think Logos runs best on a PC since I was running it on a PC long before it even ran badly on a MAC. The truth of the matter is that the answer is subjective -- "best" defines no measurements to evaluate.
