Eliminate repeated Factbook VF links | Faithlife Feedback">
FB links can overwhelm the space where any click (to close a context menu, to switch active tabs) opens a FB page. In clauses with pronoun references, both the pronoun and the verb link to the same entity. So too with appositional modifiers, resulting in multiple references to the same referent. This kind of comprehensive coverage makes sense for search, but not for links. The consolidation could be one link per clause (tricky because of dependency relationships) or one per verse (easier and significantly more elegant).
It has only two votes but is labeled "in progress".
After performing my "sky is falling" Chicken Little dance, I responded:
No, No, NO ... not by verses which are arbitrary - clause or sentence is acceptable but some of us NEVER look at scripture at a verse level - pericope-paragraph-sentence-clause is how we think of scripture NOT chapter verse which are like the line numbers on legal documents ... needed for reference but otherwise useless.
Yes, I know we have many chapter-verse fans on the forums. I'm still working on grasping why but ... However, if others prefer the consolidation of references to be driven by the text itself, please let you opinion be known. And, yes, you who think verse is a reasonable unit after thinking through cases where you want on part a or part b, I encourage you to let your thoughts be known as well.
P.S. I am not at all convinced that the consolidation is a good idea given that the Factbook filter allows us to suppress pronouns and implied subjects.
