Pasting in Default font in Word (for Mac)

The default font for Word (on my Mac) is set to Times New Roman so when I paste something from Logos 9 to Word, it should paste it in Times New Roman, correct? Why then does it always paste it in Calibri? (I know it's not terribly hard to change it but it still would be easier to save that step.)

Note misinformation above it should be Cmd+Option+Shift+V. It sounds complicated but you soon get used to it.

So, just to be clear, when pasting into Word and using Cmd+Option+Shift+V the original styling (from logos) remains and the text does not pick up the styling set in the Word document at the point of pasting?

It certainly does in Pages. If this feature is lacking in Word, and is important for you perhaps a move to Pages would be opportune?

Same in Windows. I have brought this up for some time. When you try to paste commentary selections from other software into a MS Word Office 365 document using Ctrl+V, it matches my Normal Style of Arial 10pt font. But, when I do the exact same thing with a commentary selection from Logos it goes to Calibri 11 pt font, even though I have "merge formatting" selected in my options.

It does what you say when I use that key combination. Again, I know that work around, but it is a pain. When I write a lesson for the adult Sunday school class I teach, I put my words in 14 point type, but quotes from other sources I use 12 point. Using the key combination you suggested gives all type in the same point face. Then I have to change it one of them manually. Pages presents other problems, specifically, it does not footnote automatically. Thanks for your input though Mike. I really appreciate your posts.

Michael, I know that the CMD+Option+Shift+V keystroke did not help in Randel's use case, but does it help you?
