Random question, do you know whether it is possible to change how a title is sorted by type? I have a few monographs that I would prefer to be sorted with my other Systematic Theology titles.
Are tag/series/collection the only workarounds?
Type is assigned by Faithlife. Different Types can in a collection. Every tag and series is a collection, which can be included in other collection(s) OR excluded. A resource can be in many collections while limited to one series.

KS4J, I am following this thread with great interest. Thanks for taking the time to share your strategies.
I was wondering if you would be willing to share your historical collection rules? Since they are different than Mark Barnes, then I thought that I might want to look at yours. (I tried constructing the rules myself, but I haven't quite mastered the process and so I'm not ending up with the collections I want.)

Thankful for four Historical Commentary periods by Mark Barnes with collection rules => Collection rules for sorting commentaries so used his rules to select kinds of commentary followed by tagging them.
BestCommentaries.com includes commentary kind for many commentaries. Work in progress is manually tagging Top2 resources. Some commentary resources have more than one tag.
MyTag customization from thread => Collection rules for sorting commentaries has a number after Commentary to sort Historical groupings:
- Commentary1Antiquity (0030-0500)
- Commentary2Medieval (0501-1516)
- Commentary3Reformation (1517-1729 plus includes some earlier works by Reformation authors)
- Commentary4Awakenings (1730-1900)
- Commentary5Modern (1901+)
Wikipedia article => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Great_Awakening has four date ranges for Awakening with last one overlapping various categories (so am using time span of first three for Awakenings grouping).
Reading First Great Awakening article provided my historical period modification: Reformation ends 20 years sooner than Mark's plus split 1750-1950 set into Awakenings and Modern. Since my commentary titles have year prefixes and authors, was easy to select date range followed by tagging (quicker than trying to create a rule). Currently my Commentary5Modern tagging goes up to 1950 (pondering tagging of newer volumes - desire to finish Top2 kind tagging first).
FYI: Martin Luther has some commentary prior to 95 Thesis that is tagged Commentary3Reformation.

One more question: In your style using ?< for plagerism and = for best commentaries, is it possible to search your library for titles containing these symbols?
One filter approach is using MyTag (since filtering Title by special characters is not viable)
MyTag:?Plagiarism?
MyTag:Top2

Blessings KS4J:
How many series do you have for looking up headwords? only the IVP dictionaries?
Many good resources have a thorough index. Is it possible and useful to do a series of such books? (in my view indexes are good in the sense that allow you to see certain relations and concepts within the headwords that you would not ordinarily think of).
Thanks ahead of time for your input.

For Type:(Lexicon,Encyclopedia,Dictionary) only have series populated by Faithlife while have added Headword Tags (from indexing in resource):

I am one of those who joined LOGOS from WORDsearch.
I am a church member who uses LOGOS for my daily devotions/Bible study and for writing my script (I used to work in radio) when leading our church satellite group on Sundays
What I have done is to set up my left-hand pane with all the Bibles I use regularly and the right-hand pane with the commentaries that use.
This seems to work for me.
Blessings from Yorkshire.
