I was trying to track down all the possible references to Jesus in our biblical people dataset, and I came up with this list:

  • <Person Ancient of Days>
  • <Person Angel of the Lord>
  • <Person Anointed One in Psalms>
  • <Person Bearer of Good News>
  • <Person Branch of the Lord>
  • <Person Chosen Servant of the Lord>
  • <Person Christ>
  • <Person Davidic Ruler>
  • <Person Deliverer of Israel>
  • <Person Immanuel>
  • <Person Jesus>
  • <Person Pierced Servant>
  • <Person Prophet declared by Moses>
  • <Person Ruler from Bethlehem>
  • <Person Son of David>
  • <Person Son Of Man>
  • <Person Suffering Servant>

Does anyone see anything missing?

Updated with relevant suggestions from below.

    Go through the O antiphons/O come, o come emmanuel

    <Concept Root of Jesse>

    <Person Immanuel>

    <Person DaySpring> ... I'm not sure how to translate some of them into Logoese e.g. Key of David

    Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    <Person Immanuel>

    Good catch. I tried Emmanuel.

    I don't see any person records for the others.

    Does anyone see anything missing?

    • <Person Anointed One in Psalms>
    • <Person Bearer of Good News>
    • <Person Deliverer of Israel>
    • <Person Laboring Servant of God>
    • <Person A King over the Jews> -- finds a few Messianic references in Psalms
    • <Person Prophet declared by Moses> -- missing from Deut 18, which is tagged with <Person A Prophet> instead
    • <Person Ruler from Bethlehem> -- also <Person A Ruler> in places

  • <Person Army of the Lord>

    Some possibilities to consider:

    Isaiah 44:6 "redeemer, Yahweh of hosts" (currently has <Person God> tagging)

    Isaiah 47:4 "the holy one of Israel" (currently has <Person God> tagging) => Mark 1:24, Luke 4:34 Holy One of God

    Jeremiah 23:6 "Yahweh is our righteousness" (currently has <Person God> tagging for Yahweh)

    Jeremiah 31:35 "Yahweh of hosts is his name" (currently has <Person God> tagging for Yahweh)

    Morph search in Lexham Hebrew Bible for lemma:יהוה BEFORE 4 CHARS lemma:צָבָא  (pondering "Yahweh of hosts" name meaning)

    Keep Smiling [:)]

    DaySpring has a person record ... but not necessarily Biblical

    Root of Jess should be a person record ... not my fault it's not coded correctly ...
