I realize this is not Mac related, but I know there are some Mac users who only read the Mac forums, and I didn't want you to miss out on this great deal. All Logos resources work on the Mac too, so it's relevant, eh?
The Catena Aurea (a multi-volume commentary on the Gospels with original text by various Church Fathers, collated and with prefaces by Thomas Aquinas) has recently been pushed over the 100% mark in Community Pricing. That means it is definitely going to be produced. It will go into pre-pub as of this Friday at noon, after which point the price will jump up to a pre-pub price of probably somewhere between $60-90 and then once it ships it will be probably twice that.
Thus getting it while it's still in Community Pricing is an amazing deal. It is currently $16. If you bid $16 for it before Friday noon (Pacific Time), you are guaranteed to get it for that price or lower if the price goes lower between now and Friday. You never pay more than the lowest price necessary to bring it into production. If you don't bid, or your bid remains lower than the final production price at the close of the CP period, you're out of luck. The price will go lower as more people bid. There is a good chance we can get it down to $14 since it has currently reached about 90% of production cost for $14. (Once they pay for the cost of producing it, all further sales are frosting on the cake for them, so they're willing to go as low as we can push it for the production cost.)
How low can we go? Stay out of limbo. Buy the Catena Aurea!
