Suggestion: Some Richard Foster / Renovaré books

In particular:

  • Spiritual Classics (ed. Richard J. Foster & Emilie Griffin)
  • Devotional Classics (ed. Richard J. Foster & James Bryan Smith)

(mind you, the above are just anthologies of excerpts, and Logos should really include the full text of the originals those are sourcing from, if it doesn't already; but...they are great invitations into to those fuller texts which otherwise might be overwhelming to many people: Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Sienna, Thomas à Kempis, and many more)

By Richard Foster:

  • Prayer: Finding the Heart's True Home
  • Celebration of Discipline
  • Freedom of Simplicity
  • Streams of Living Water

Having just read through Foster's "Celebration of Discipline" for class, I would like to see it in Logos.  The twelve dsiciplines Foster focuses on are so challenging I feel like I would want to refer back to this book often.  It also has good coverage by reviewers in the currently available journals in Logos.

Why not add on the Renovaré study bible too.

It's a shame that nothing has happened with this since you posted, Rosie. I sent in a suggestion at suggest@logos.com today. I don't know if there are copyright issues involved.

I would like to see works by both foster & willard. It would also be nice to see The Good and Beautiful God series by James Bryan Smith. Perhaps that will have a better shot since it is IVP.

Well, the Apprentice Series from James Bryan Smith and Sanctuary of the Soul by Richard Foster have made their way to Vyrso!

NOTE: These are all IVP works. Most Renovare books are published by Harper Collins, so we may have to wait for some of the others.
