I'm not guaranteeing that screenshots posted on this thread will be in the next Alpha, but there's a good chance of it.
Here's the first:
Here's another one:
Maybe some of our dual platform users can list which features are in these screenshots. I can think of at least 4 that aren't in A17, but *could* be in A18 in various forms.
Thank you for all the work.
I use highlighting all the time on my windows platform. Can't wait to get it in mac.

I'll take a nightly build [:P] No seriously, if you send me a link to a nightly build I'll download it when I get back from work.
I use highlighting all the time
Yes, that's the feature I'm most looking fwd to.
Highlighting! Yes!
:I see Bible text only.
Start Reading bar.
Something's happening with the Lectionary...displaying Scripture text?
Great job on all these things!
Nice Job Roger! You found all the clues!
There's still more work to be done, but at least you can see what's coming...
Good eye Roger [Y]
Great work Tom and team [Y][Y][Y]
You have certainly teased us. Thank you! [;)]
if your on A17, why does his mockup say 16a?? seems odd he would use old code..
Looks awesome! [:)]
I'm really waiting on interlinear to be working... any hints as to when that would be implemented?
Yes, the interlinear would be great in A18.
Also has anyone else lost their circle graph in the word study in the exegetical guide or is it just me?
I keep waiting for the "notes" option to appear. Is it anywhere near the top of the list? OR is it a long ways down the road?

We don't always keep our code tree fully up-to-date when working on big features (just in case someone else makes a bad code check-in). In Tom's case, it's been quite some time since he's updated the part of our tree that has the version number.
This is the first time that I've heard of it. Any sort of bug like this deserves its own thread (preferably with logs and perhaps a screenshot).
Are those Visual Filters I see in the first screenshot for the ESV? If so, that would be a great after Easter present from the Logos 4 Mac Team.
Will reading plans be for bibles only, or for other books as well, as in the PC version? (which I just started using under Parallels 5 in a Win 7 64-bit installation; using it I am becoming even more excited for what is coming in the Mac version. If you can afford Parallels and a copy of Win 7, it's a great solution. Though this Mac guy hates to admit it, there are times when having a copy of Windows available is a handy thing).
Thanks for all the hard work on the Mac version,
Wayne
Highlighting, Awesome, Praise the Lord and Hallelujah!!!! That is one feature I have missed.
I would also second the request for Notes to be added as soon as possible. It is very hard to study the Bible and not have a place to keep notes of what I've discovered. I know there are other software options, but one reason we all love Logos so much is the ability to have all of our Bible study resources (including notes) in one place. Thanks for all of the Hard Work Logos! Logos 4 looks like it will be an awesome way to study the Word of God!
In Christ,
Philana
Yes! HIGHLIGHTING AND NOTES! I feel like I'm studying with my hands tied. I can't wait to actually be able to interact with Logos 4 Mac.
If I could get highlighting, notes, and prayer lists, I think I could dump Parallels and XP off of my MacBook Pro and go with the Mac version of L4. Keep the good news coming.
I found a work around for highlighting but it takes a little longer to clean the screen when I've finished. [:O]
You know we are getting teaser pictures awfully early. I was wondering if this means we may be getting A18 early...guess I will have to wait up to a week.
Notes, yes notes please
Welcome to the forum. Yes, a decent notes feature is something many of us would like.
Might I suggest you change your display name so that SpamBots don't sweep it up. See this link on how to do that. http://wiki.logos.com/Changing_Forum_Display_Name
Here's a new teaser:
As of right now, you can't set or erase highlighting in Logos 4 Mac, but your highlighting and notes will sync from Windows:
We'll see how much progress we can make before the end of the week.
ut your highlighting and notes will sync from Windows
To be clear, Tom isn't indicating that we have notes editing in place just yet; notes that are attached to positions in resources will be viewable, however.
It's really coming along now, eh?! Thanks for all the hard work guys!
My husband and I only just started with Logos a couple months ago. He has a PC and uses the Windows version so he has the "whole enchilada" and really loves it. I figure I must be in a small minority of Logos 4 Mac users who don't use the Windows version via Parallels or anything. I use the Logos 4 Mac alpha version and enjoy every update, but I would really love to take notes and highlight and use the prayer list function. We are missionaries overseas where internet is limited, so when we return to the field the end of July I may not be able to update my version after that. I know you can't tell us when these functions will be available but do you have a goal by which to finish the alpha version? Anyway, I love what I do have and get really excited every time I see a new download. Keep up the terrific work!
Hi Donnell, I deleted my Windows version and Fusion in January and do all my weekly sermon preparation on Mac... you are not alone :-)
Blessings
Donell,
I use Mac alone, but I do have a virtual machine installed on my MacBook. I only use it for Logos presentations, when I am showing it to a PC user.
I use Mac L4 for sermon prep and lessons! I haven't deleted 1.2.2 yet, but that day is soon coming, I can feel it!
Is it that we can't edit them or add them as of right now and but might be able to if enough the feature gets finished in time for A18. Or that the only thing possible in A18 will be the syncing the notes. I hope is the first, because if you aren't using a Windows version, it won't help! Either way though I appreciate the work you guys are doing. I think when L4 for Mac is finished it will be the best Bible software out there. I love being able to use Logos on my Mac.

I love being able to use a Mac with Logos! [:D]
I looked at Mac years ago but only made the move in October last year once Logos was available for Mac.

Editing of notes is a very big feature, and we haven't quite gotten to it yet (you'll surely see some teasers when we do!). Right now your notes from Windows will sync to the Mac, and they'll show up in resources, but not much else.
Another quick teaser. (I'm a contract developer on Logos 4.)
Will you have a teaser with Copy Bible Verses?
Nice to see this feature come together [Y]
These are great teasers if you had your Windows version install. [:(] For us long time Mac users we're still not seeing a lot of upfront changes. But as the Lord tarries..... er I mean as Logos tarries we will wait with eager anticipation. Thanks for all the hard work.
My name is Bryan and I'm a Logos 4 user.
All in unison Hiiiiiiii Bryan! lol

These are great teasers if you had your Windows version install. For us long time Mac users we're still not seeing a lot of upfront changesHi Bryan, sorry I don't understand your comment and sad face. These teasers are for the next drop of the Mac version due next week. How is that only for people with the Windows install?
I think Bryan is referring to postings on this particular forum that say things like:
"Editing of notes is a very big feature, and we haven't quite gotten to it yet (you'll surely see some teasers when we do!). Right now your notes from Windows will sync to the Mac, and they'll show up in resources, but not much else."
and:
"As of right now, you can't set or erase highlighting in Logos 4 Mac, but your highlighting and notes will sync from Windows"
So if you're not using Windows at all will we see anything new on our Mac versions?
As I write this my Mac is downloading some changes! I'm excited to see what's new!
Do you mean something like this, perhaps?
At this rate, maybe A 20 or 21 will actually be B 1...[8-|]

I love your optimism. I wish it were infectious! Then I could share it. I think that we have a long way to go yet for our Alpha phase to be feature-complete, which, if I remember correctly, is when the transition is made to Beta phase of development. At that Beta stage, I think, the focus is on stability.
Every blessing
Alan
Or even this:
Is it expected that the Mac Alpha will be developed enough for it to be profitable to attend the National Camp Logos June 10th & 11th? My friend and I really want to go this year, but if it's not developed enough by that time, we don't want to learn a bunch of stuff that we can't put to use yet, and thereby end up forgetting what we learned by the time it is implemented. Will it be worth a Mac only user (not using Windows version) going to Camp Logos this June? Or should I wait till another time?
Please see entry #4 in the FAQ: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6747.aspx
Yes. Highlighting. Even if it is just to render what has been created under the temporary Windows version that I'm using.
It would be so helpful to me being able to see my markups for my Greek books.
I'm very excited about all the "teasing" for Alpha 18 that I've been shown here. And thanks, Joe, for showing me how special I am as a Mac-only user to have something that the Windows users don't have [:)] Now I don't want this to cause any envy for all you Windows people!
Seriously, to see the little icon that will give me a pull down menu for adding Highlighting and Notes just makes me giddy [:D]
I had a large update load today and my computer spent a lot of time indexing afterwords, but I didn't see any notes released about it so I guess I'll stop trying to see what's different. I have been tempted to go the route of running the Windows version on my Mac, but I don't want to spend extra for the software it would take to do that when you guys are getting so many things working on the Mac version. Keep up the great work everyone!
