One of Porter’s most significant claims is that the Greek tense-forms do not encode time. How can I work through this as a case study in the Gospels?
I'd need some context as the usual definition of tense is something like:

So I would need to know how he classifies the various aspects of a verb e.g. aspect, mood, modality, tense, transitivity, voice . . . Somewhere in his description of the other portions of the verb lie the answer to your question.
