Windows 11 Problem installing Microsoft Office 2007
I have a disc for Microsoft Office 2007 and am trying to install it on my laptop which has Windows 11. When I get to the point where it asks for the product code the window is very small and I cannot get to the box where I enter the product code. When I right click ,the option to maximize is greyed out. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Wouldn't this be better asked on the Microsoft support site -- it is very thorough.

This is not the place for this question, but I'll answer because I'm sure it's frustrating. This is a resolution issue. You can either adjust your resolution to something really low, which should show the box.
If you don't want to change the resolution, then when the box comes up, even though you can't see it, just type the product key carefully without any spaces or dashes and hit enter. On the next screen which will have a similar box where you can't see the options, click enter again. That should do it!
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.

Thanks Joseph. Unfortunately neither of the suggestions solved the problem. The Microsoft Support website is also of no help with my issue. I may have to settle with downloading Libre Office to work with my personal books.

LibreOffice rocks IMHO and the price is right. I could do MS Office if I wanted or really needed to do it, but so far I have not needed to use it.

Try the following:
When the activation window appears, close it, or click "continue" without entering a key. The software now goes into trial mode.
Open a command window as administrator, and execute the following two commands:
cd c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12
cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX... (your product key)
cscript ospp.vbs /act
It should add the license and activate the software like that. However, since Office 2007 isn't supported on Win 11, other complications might arise.

Thanks Jan. I get an error message to the first prompt. "The system cannot find the path specified."

Did you choose a custom installation location? c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12 is the default location. If the installation folder is somewhere else, then execute the two commands from there.

Microsoft Office 2007 only has one version – the 32-bit edition.
Windows 11 does not support 32 bit applications.

This is incorrect. Windows 11 only comes in a 64 bit version, but 64 bit Windows versions will still run 32 bit programs. The opposite of course is not true. A 32 bit OS will not run 64 bit programs. That might be what you were thinking.
