With the Library panel open, is it possible to search only the "Abbreviated Title" column for some particular term? If so, how?
Check the "Library Filter Fields" section of the help file. In particular, you are looking for the "abbrev" filter field.

I noticed a small error in the Help resource file, however. It indicates that searches using abbrev: will find the term if it occurs at the beginning of the Abbreviated Title. It will find the term if it appears anywhere in the Abbreviated Title.
