In Titus 1:9, the KJV has:
to convince (Greek 1651) = To convince of error, refute (Spiros Zodhiates, The Complete Word Study Dictionary: New Testament (Chattanooga, TN: AMG Publishers, 2000).
gainsayers (Greek 483) = to speak against, contradict; to gainsay, deny (William D. Mounce, Mounce’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old & New Testament Words (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2006), 1087)
But in the MEV, it has "to convince" as Greek 483 and "who oppose" as Greek 1651.
Are these backwards?
