Anyone know how to do an inline citation, when the sentence already ends with some parenthetical insertion?
For example, how would you do an inline citation for something like this:
"This is particularly appropriate for Christian women who profess godliness and want to cultivate the authentic and lasting beauty of the inner person (1 Pet. 3:3f.)."
Milne, D.J.W. (1996) 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus. Scotland; Great Britain: Christian Focus Publications (Focus on the Bible Commentary), p. 53.
Would it be something like this?
"This is particularly appropriate for Christian women who profess godliness and want to cultivate the authentic and lasting beauty of the inner person (1 Pet. 3:3f.)(Milne, p. 53)."
Is it okay to put two parenthesis at the end of a sentence, or is there some other way you're supposed to do this (e.g. MLA or APA)?
