BDAG 4?
Just stumbled upon a PDF of BDAG online that caught my attention because the cover says “Fourth Edition” & is dated 2021.
Admittedly I‘m rusty concerning NT lexicography but this is news to me (I kinda’ stopped keeping up with it after purchasing BrillDAG).
I would’ve thought this would be all over the place in academic circles. Is this old news or am I missing something?
Oh, also, while I’m going to check right now, does FL carry this 4th ed. (assuming there is a 4th ed.)?

Don't know, except BDAG-1 english came from BDAG-4 german.

Bauer was 1st edition (German)
Arndt & Gingrich was 2nd edition
Danker (current) was 3rd edition.

That's really strange. That cover clearly says 4th edition and the copyright says 2021. I don't know why they'd label it a 4th edition, but that copyright page does e-version 1.0. I think a true 4th edition would have some other scholar's name on it as the editor Danker passed away a few years ago.

Probably just a marketing thing to not have it appear "outdated". The front matter states:
The contents of the fourth edition are the same of the
third, with several typos corrected. Also the typography
was completely remade with Brill, a modern typeface by
John Hudson. Transliterations of the entries were added
and words with hyperlinks enable easy navigation inside

Wow NB.Mick—Good catch! Totally slipped by me.
So, I guess there actually is a 4th ed.—albeit without any new entries (?).
Still, considering how weighty BDAG is within the realm of NT Greek, I would have thought that *ANY* emendation to either the text itself or the cover would have received far more attention than it has.

The site you linked to is a pirate site and is illegally posting books for download. The authors and publishers have not given consent for their books to be downloaded for free on that site. Please remove the link; I don't think that link should posted in this forum.

How very strange. Perhaps B-Greek forum can provide an explanation.
Appreciate the link—I wasn’t even aware of their site but sure looks interesting (particularly their Ancient Texts section).
