Logos 4 will "index" everyday I turn my MacBook on. Is it supposed to do that?

How long does the "index" run? Mine always comes on for a few seconds on startup, but then vanishes almost immediately. I put that down to the program just "waking up and getting its bearings" by checking for updates, syncing and indexing at the start. I could be wrong but I guess that's the way it's meant to work. Perhaps someone more tech-savvy could confirm or correct my suppositions.

Are you allowing the indexer to finish prior to turning the machine off or allowing it to go to sleep?
Terry, does that take a long time? I have put off doing it just in case it takes ages.
it does. I'd run it at night before you leave the office.
Depends on your machine, my usually takes between 3-4 hours
