Instead of just breaking down the search filters by Bible book, could there be a way to filter by OT/NT?
I guess I don't understand..... I have many breakdowns for sermon manager.... and it seems a lot of them depend on what "series" or what "venue" I have them categorized in.... am I missing something?
Yes, I have categories for Series, Venue, Topics, Bible Book, Speaker...
Concerning Scripture, however, the only category is the book. For instance, I'd like to be able to draw up all the Advent sermons I did from the Old Testament. Right now, I can isolate the Advent sermons (I use advent for a topic), but I'd have to look through each OT book category...I couldn't see them all together.
Just add OT or NT to topics perhaps?
You can only choose one topic though. So if I want Advent messages from the OT, since they are both topics, I would get one or the other (try selecting a topic and you'll see what I mean. )
I see what you're saying, Brian. I will create a case for future consideration that would add an additional layer of filtering/faceting that would group all the OT/NT results together. Of course we would keep the ability to then drill down to the specific book of the Bible as well.
