BUG: Highlight search results in Bible

When I search for a word in a Bible (e.g. good in Genesis 1), Logos has always highlighted the result in the Bible text so it's really easy to locate the word in the chapter.

In Logos 10, it does this only if I use the default Bible search (defaults to Passages in my Top Bible).If I switch the results to Grid, it no longer highlights the word in the Bible text.

I've created a shortcut for Bible Search in my Top Bibles with Grid results, but this search does not highlight the word in the Bible itself.

Am I doing something wrong? Or have we lost this basic functionality? Thanks.

I do get the highlights showing if I use the default Bible search:

Logos 10.1.0.0041 on Windows 11.

I get the same results as you - I do forget if it worked differently in Logos 9

It's somethiing I do regularly (several times a week). When I see a key word, I'll search for the underlying Gk/Heb and read the chapter. Logos used to highlight the word (regardless of how it was translated), so I could trace the thought.

Will seriously miss this.

Isn't that something different, though? In the translation below the words are highlighted irrespective of how they are translated - and this is nothing to do with whether the search results are highlighted in Grid view. Or am I misunderstanding your point?

Query: lemma.g:=γυνή INTERSECTS (sense:wife AFTER 1 WORDS morph.g:R)

Aligned is highlighted in my default bible (ESV) but the visual cue points to the start of the verse.

Grid is not highlighted in my default bible (ESV) but the visual cue points to the result.

Aligned is not highlighted in NABRE and the visual cue points to the start of the verse.

Grid is not highlighted in NABRE but the visual cue points to the result.

Aligned is not highlighted in SBLGNT and the visual cue points to the start of the verse.

Grid is not highlighted in SBLGNT but the visual marker points to the result.

For a query sense:wife more results are highlighted.

Verbum v10.1 is all over the place with this whilst Logos v9.17 is always correct.

In Passage view ESV, the results are highlighted, but they are NOT highlighted after viewing Grid/Aligned (which are not highlighted).

Passage results are initially highlighted in NIV84, NIV 2011 but NOT highlighted after viewing Grid/Aligned.

As stated above, the visual cue also varies.

Yes, that's correct, Graham. It's the inconsistency arcoss different search resutls (Aligned, Grid etc) that makes it awkward.

Given that search was changed in major ways in L10, I guess we can hope that these kinds of inconsistencies will be addressed.
