Any "backwards" benefit to Logos 10?

So I'm looking at possibly upgrading to a Logos 10 base package (e.g. Silver) for the Mac. However, I'm not presently running a Mac OS that supports Logos 10. (The reason is not really salient to my question.) I understand that any new "books" (i.e. Library Resources) that I acquire in the Logos 10 package will most likely be available to me in Logos 9 and 8.

But what about the Logos 10 "Feature Set Resources?" Is there anything in there (not necessarily the "Features" but rather the "Resources") that might show up and be useful in Logos 9 (or 8)? Anyone know?

The resources are compatible. There is nothing explicitly L10 about the resources other than their supporting features emphasized in L10. FL has announced that they are changing their naming conventions so it will be clearer that the software number is unrelated to the resource package number.

The purchase of a Logos 10 package will normally trigger a software upgrade which means your order won't complete without accepting a Logos 10 installation/update! And your assumption about not running a Mac OS that supports Logos 10 could cause problems if you accept the Order.

So I doubt that you can trial a Logos 10 package in Logos 8/9 software, and you should clarify this with Customer Support.

If it's a book that would appear in the Library, it should be available both in Logos 9 and Logos 10, even if you purchased it as part of a feature set. The majority (perhaps all) would show up in Logos 8, but that is a bit less certain, as Logos 8 is no longer supported. The interlinears should also show up in Logos 9 and some - but not all - of the datasets. The new tools won't show up in L9, though.

You will eventually have to upgrade, at least, to the free version of L10 or L11 or any future version of the software, as previous/old versions eventually become unsupported. All your books will work and hopefully won’t lose any features. The claim is you won’t, but there might be one that gets discontinued; e.g., “handouts.”

I don't recall any promise that features will remain forever. I would love it if I could force FL to reinstate my favorite search visualization - I don't like it's replacement:
