I've tried everything to style the links that Reftagger creates out of my bible references. I opted for using the Code Snippet plugin so I could bypass the Reftagger plugin for WordPress (I'm using Elementor Pro by the way) as the options in the settings of the Reftagger plugin are far too basic to make it any good (imo).
The Code Snippet plugin allows me to insert the Reftagger script into the footer and gives me lots more control over its style and behavior, the only problem is that I can't style the links no matter what I try. Can't get rid of the underline using text-decoration in custom CSS and can't alter the hover color, although it did respond when I first inserted the script, but once I clicked a link to test the "visited" aspect the trouble started.
I've tried to clear the cache of the browser and inside Elementor itself but nothing seems to be working. I could live with the hover color being muddy color it's decided to give me but I have a lot of verse references on my pages and the underline is just too much. It's strange that it does respond to the link color though ...the default that Reftagger gives me is a pinky color and it's responded to a color change but that's about it. If anyone has any ideas I would be sooo grateful. Oh yeah, the site is only local at the moment so there is still the hope it might bug off and give me a break when I migrate but I don't know?
One more thing I should mention is that ordinary links in other parts of the website are affected, and it doesn't seem to be Elementor causing the problem because when I remove the Reftagger script from the footer and refresh all the links in my site return to how the CSS is telling them to behave.
Help ...please!
