Are there multilingual parallel Bibles available in Logos? German/English?

You can open any multilingual parallel Bible you want in Logos, if you own the underlying two or more different versions in their original languages, by using multiple tabs and Link Sets so the Bibles scroll together and jump in parallel to the same verse when you navigate to a different verse. There would be no need for Faithlife to create fixed parallel language Bibles. That would be so limiting!

Adding to Rosie, there indeed are parallel Bibles in Logos ... but Logos breaks them apart (if allowed) into separate resources (sold together).  Yesterday, I was looking at Brenton's Septuagint, which promised parallel english and greek. Interesting! But as it turned out, the two had been separated.

And good too.  Often the english is its own translation (not just a standard version) ... which you might want to compare separately to other translations. As was Brenton's.

Hi Ryan:

If:

1. Each bible has reverse interlinear tagging (if there is an 'Aleph / Omega' button in the bible's toolbar, it does), and
2. You own the Starter Feature Upgrade or higher, or the Fundamentals package,

you can also use the Corresponding Words / Same Lemma Visual Filter to compare the different versions word-by-word.

1. Click the three dot triangle button in one bible's toolbar
2. Expand the 'Resources' section
3. Check the box by Corresponding Words
4. Specify if you want to see the words highlighted when you 'Hover' or 'Click' (I like 'Click')
5. While you're hovering on that line, notice a whispery little button to the right; click that and click 'Show in all appropriate resources'. This will apply this filter in all of your bibles capable of using the filter.
6. Then check 'Same Lemma' and click the three dots again to close.

Also, if you have the above mentioned feature sets, you can place two or more of your bibles in a Multiple Resource View. The difference / advantage this has over a Link Set is that the set is always there when you have the Lead resource open; you just turn the view on or off.

1. Open what you want to be the 'Lead' bible and find the double vertical bar button in the bible's resource toolbar. (It's to the right of the 'Aleph / Omega' button if that is present.)
2. Click the drop-down arrow next to it.
3. Using the 'Find' box type short names (ESV, RVR60, etc.) to find and select the bibles you want in the view.
4. When you have selected all the bibles, click the drop-down arrow again to close.
5. Use the double vertical bar button to toggle the display of the 'Following' bibles on or off.

The 'followers' always scroll with the 'Leader', but they can also also scroll independently. The Corresponding Words deal works in this view also (with bibles that have that function).

They're not too hard to find.  The recent Tsedaka's Samaritan was published parallel, and broken up in Logos. The old Syriac was published parallel and broken up in Logos.

I think to get close to your goal, you'll have to settle for a horizontal arrangement attainable with bibles having the reverse interlinear tagging I spoke of above and use the Corresponding Words / Same lemma visual filter along with the Multiple Resource View, and click word-by-word. (Sorry, I didn't have screenshots; I have impaired vision and instructional screenshots are difficult for me.) I don't think there's any interlinears available with the language mix you desire.

If you don't have a separate Greek NT, Logos has one free. If you don't have an English bible with reverse interlinear tagging, try 'buying' the free Logos 9 Basic. It at least has reverse interlinears for CSB, LEB & KJV, and might have more (it used to have several more, undocumented).

As for the German and Portuguese, I think there's a German Logos 9 Basic, I just don't know what it's called and if it has the RIs. There is a separate de.logos.com storefront. There probably isn't a Portuguese Basic yet. (There is a Spanish one; has the word 'Motor' in the name.) Maybe some of the readers of those languages can help us out. I'm trying to be as cheap as possible, but if you want to pony-up for these two, there are versions with reverse interlinears available for both, but it might be a bit pricey, as some reckon pricey-ness.

One additional hint: If you have a Hebrew bible and want to extend this idea there, just put the Greek NT and the Hebrew OT in a Series and they'll flow like they're one resource. Come back and ask if you need to know about Series-eses.

As others have said there are Interlinear Bibles that have Greek and English and for several Bible versions in English, German and some other languages you can purchase a "reverse interlinear", which shows the lines with manuscript, lemma etc. in the original language. 

But please remember: If you use these, word order, which obviously differs in each language, will always be in the order of the actual Bible version, so it would probably a bad idea to use this to learn a language. If your mother tongue is English and you wanted to learn German, using a German Bible version with attached English word translations could be helpful to a degree, but definitely not, if you have an English Bible with German translations attached.
