Reading books offline on Kindle Fire

I successfully installed Logos on my Kindle Fire. When I'm connected wifi I can access everything and it works great. However, I cannot download books. The only thing that shows up in my library offline is the ASV. Even when I'm online that is the only book with a green download arrow (there is the arrow on the right but that only gives me information...no downloading options). What am I missing here? How can I download other books so they are available offline?

That is not what I'm seeing. I can get to the book information via the right arrow on my main library screen or when I'm actually in the book through the "i" icon as shown on your screen, but it simply gives info and never the option to view offline.
The one exception is the ASV which I can read offline. When I'm in my main library page it has a green down-arrow over the icon of the book. No other books have that option.

Just checked the Kindle Fire. Go to your library (closed book icon) find the book you want and tap on the arrow on the right side of the resource line in the library. You will come to the resource info page. There will be a green box that says download. Tap it to download the resource. I just downloaded a few resources.

This was in the Logos app I downloaded from the Amazon Store on the Kindle Fire. So you might want to delete and reinstall.

Brian - Do you have a Logos base package? If so, are your library resources shown? The Logos app is free and comes with a few resources which you can view online for free. If you want to download the resources, you must first purchase them.

Brian, if you have a logos account, are you signed in to it on your Kindle Fire?

I deleted and reinstalled. I'm still not seeing it. When I click on the arrow on the right side of the library I go to the "Resource Info" page but there are no green arrows (with the exception of the ASV). I just don't understand it.

I do not have a base package, only the free library resources are shown but I thought it would be easy getting them. I can find them in the store along with additional free resources, but do I really need to go through using credit card number etc just to get free resources? (I admit I'm being cheap...I just wanted to basic resources on the go with me. I didn't intend for this to replace my library...I'm still hooked on paper books!)

This will probably be my last post. Thank each of you so much for your suggestions. I have found something that works.
I decided to log onto my account on the computer. I input my cc number and "purchased" a free book. When I logged back into my Logos on the Kindle the green download arrow was there for that book. I assume this will work for all of their resources. It is a little more roundabout than I thought it would be, but I guess it works.
Thanks again.

Brian - As you found out, you have to "own" the resources to download them. By the way, Logos also owns "Vyrso," a Christian eBook company. Those resources download into the Logos and Vyrso apps as well.

Many of the Vyrso books are not as expensive. Also you might want to see if your local library has ebooks that can be checked out on the Kindle Fire. They have two very big benefits to paper library books.
You don't have to visit the library (you check them out on the device, they return by themselves.
You can take notes and highlight and those get saved (you can't do that with paper library books).
So take advantage of your Kindle Fire!

I didn't realize Philana had been with FL so long. A nice picture.
And Caroline ... from 10 years ago, but good advice. Welcome to the forum!

You are right! This thread was created twelve years ago, so much has changed since then.
Please don't be a stranger. The forums are a great place to get help (and to give it!).
