Do March Matchup discounts feed into lower base package prices?

Does anyone know if the March Matchup discounts add to the dynamic pricing of base packages?

In other words, do the March Matchup discounts make the dynamic pricing on base packages result in lower prices than would be the case before the March Matchup discounts?

If so, I might purchase the base package I'm looking at, instead of the March Matchup products on their own. If not, I might pass on the base package until later.

Thanks David. When Logos 10 came out I opted for a lower base package than the one I'm looking at now. I can't remember if I looked at what the upgrade dynamic price was after that. That's why I'm wondering if the base package dynamic pricing formula includes the March Matchup discounts.

I think you should be able to trace the price of a MM book/collection into a package, to see if reduced (ie test a sinle item)?

Unless something has changed, dynamic pricing is based on the normal price of the resource. Since the worst base package discount is much better than the best March Matchup discount, if you are going to buy a base package, it always makes sense to do so first.

You can present your options to a sales rep and they can tell you what the cheapest sequence would be. What ends up in your cart by doing it yourself, may or may not be the cheapest.

I believe the short answer is no. Sales don't affect the final price of collections or packages. They do show up in the intermediary pricing, but not the selling price.

Thanks DMB, Justin and Dale. That is all very helpful. Some of the March Matchup discounts are really good this year, particularly for commentaries. But I'll now wait until my purchasing power is better, since the base package prices will be the same for quite some time (I expect). Thanks again.

I should have said Sales on individual items don't affect the final price of collections or packages, unless the collection or package also happens to be on sale.

Purchasing March Matchup item(s) does result in dynamic price reduction of base packages, bundles, collections, ... that include purchased item(s). Caveat is base package dynamic price likely being less than March Matchup sale price (better price per item in base package purchase).

Zondervan Exegetical Commentary (ZEC) currently has 63% of the votes in the Finale, which would result in a 60% sale price on Mon 26 Mar. ZEC is NOT included in any base package = no effect on base package dynamic pricing.

Thanks. Yes, the resources in base packages are heavily discounted to start with. But additional discounts from March Matchup sales makes them even more attractive.

If you can come into contact with a "Logos Affiliate", there might be an oppprtunity for discounts on BPs soon. Just maybe.
