Hendiadys in Logos

How do I search for Hendiadys in Logos. This term is a literary device that pairs words with similar semantic domains to convey a single idea or concept. I am especially looking at the morphology of the verb with the idea of coming up with a visual filter.

Semantic domains are separate from morphology so I suspect I don't understand what you intend to do. Logos has very little literary coding. A search for figureofSpeech:(description:"Two for One" AND name:Hendiadys) will get you the texts Bullinger identified. (156 results). Beyond that I would search commentaries and hermeutical/exegetical textbooks for the text search argument "hendiadys". I'll be watching to see if others come up with better solutions.

How do I search for Hendiadys in Logos.

This was much harder than it should be:-

One dead end was LSTO:Hendiadys which is NOT a theological term covered by Lexham Systematic Theology Ontology (which I knew about).

topic:Hendiadys is the only suggestion from the Search tool but it does not work! And the Search suggested by Factbook was equally useless. But it did suggest topic "Hebrew Wordplay" and that Factbook article had a Search that yielded 6 results in the bible. One of the results gave me wordplay:type:topic:"Lemma Parallelism" in the Context menu which I quickly converted to wordplay:type:topic:Hendiadys (which is a label search). Voila!

To shortcut all that, a Search for Hendiadys in Dataset and Help documents yields a result in Logos/Verbum Help that gives you the Wordplay label after a bit of scrolling!

Yes. I would think "answered and said" (e.g. Gen 18.27) would be a classic Hendiadys (at least 30 instances). but it is not?
