What is a good resource on the Ascension of Christ from a Christianity perspective?
This one won't be what you want:

Although the centerpiece is Paul's ascent, the bulk of discussion is the significant number of ascent-ers at the time, and the common themes most ascent-ers experienced, even between Jewish, Christian and Greek.
Logosia generally doesn't go for Tabor, but the academic perspective regarding 'ascending rules' is interesting.
I would start with Factbook which will show you what is in your library. Then come back to the forums with your more specific questions that remain after reading what you have available.

Neglected doctrine? my reaction was a very loud HUH? as the West Coast Catholic bishops moved the celebration of the Feast of the Ascension to correspond to the Mexican celebration because of what a major event it is among some portions of the Catholic community. It would never have occurred to me that it would be a neglected doctrine in some quarters -- and curious enough that I may need to read up on how it came to be neglected.
