I'd like to request hastaging on content which would allow cross ref via hashes.
The tagging could look like this in a document
[[@Hashtag:#value1, #value2]]
In the app I'd like to be able to Hashtag on a highlight.
How is this better than the existing tags?
I'm resurrecting this, I hope nobody minds.
I like tags, they're great for finding notes related to a particular theme and consolidating themes on a single note so that they can be easily found.
However, if you write a longer note, and you've only written a sentence or two related to the topic you've tagged the note for, you can't scan through the note and find the section you're interested in. This is where a hashtag might be helpful.
I'm thinking hashtags could automatically apply a regular tag to the note, and then automatically be highlighted by use of a link color (i.e. blue) which is easy to pick up when scanning through a note. Also, the hashtag could be automatically converted to a link which would automatically apply the notes filter by that tag.
Of course we could just put in a #hashtag but then we'd need to change the color manually and remember to do that each time, but that seems like more editing work than we're used to doing, and probably would be cumbersome on mobile.
