Hey fellow forum members!

I'm currently in the market for a new computer system, and I've been considering investing in a device equipped with Intel vPro processors. However, before making a final decision, I wanted to gather some insights from those who have experience with this technology.

To provide some background, Intel vPro is a platform designed for business users, offering advanced security features, remote management capabilities, and enhanced performance. It seems to have gained a reputation for its robust security measures and efficient remote management, but I'm curious to know if it truly lives up to the hype.

If any of you have used or currently own a computer with Intel vPro processors, I would greatly appreciate your input. I have a few questions I hope you can help me with:

  1. Security: How effective is Intel vPro in terms of protecting against modern threats like malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access? Does it provide additional layers of security compared to regular processors?

  2. Remote Management: I've heard that Intel vPro allows for remote access and troubleshooting, which can be helpful in business settings. Can anyone share their experiences with this feature? Is it reliable and easy to use? Have you found it to be beneficial in real-world scenarios?

  3. Performance: In terms of everyday tasks and demanding applications, how does Intel vPro compare to other processors? Does it offer significant performance improvements or optimizations that make it stand out?

  4. Compatibility: Are there any limitations or specific requirements to consider when using Intel vPro processors? Are there any compatibility issues with certain software or hardware configurations?

  5. Cost-Effectiveness: Intel vPro devices tend to be priced slightly higher compared to standard consumer-grade computers. In your opinion, is the added cost justified by the benefits and features it provides? Would you recommend it for business users or individuals who prioritize security and remote management capabilities?

  6. Any Other Considerations: If there are any other aspects or features related to Intel vPro that you believe are important to highlight, please feel free to share your insights.

Thank you in advance for your valuable input and advice. Your experiences will undoubtedly play a crucial role in helping me make an informed decision. I look forward to hearing from the community and engaging in a meaningful discussion.

Best regards,

I noticed that your post has not received a response in the time since you made it a couple of days ago. I'm not familiar with the specific line of processors that you bring up. But, perhaps others are and they will have something to offer to help you.

From experience I went from Windows to a MacBook Pro and the difference in performance is abysmal! So no more Windows for me.  If God allows me to buy a Mac, I will do so from now on.

I have an HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Intel i7-12700T that has a vPro Processor. vPro is something geared to business users. For my money, this box blows the doors off anything I have ever used. I got a very good deal on it with 64 GB RAM. I was so close to buying a Mac but there's nothing like what I got that wouldn't have cost me nearly a $1000 more. L10 runs like dynamite.
