Having the tops of all the tiles aligned surely makes for easier reading! I'd rate it an A-.
Why the single half-height tile? The explanatory paragraph is unnecessarily truncated.
The Homepage varies from user to user as it depends on which categories you have asked to have shown, what is in your library, etc. I am glad you were pleased with the layout but cannot answer the question re: the half-height tile as mine is different than yours.
