Hello,
Does anyone have a a complete verse list for judgment proclamations of the old testament?
Thank you.
I guess this is for Logos 3. If you have syntax Search then you can easily get this for yourself
This is God's Judgement proclamations:
3377.God Judgement.txt
This is human-to-human judgement:
Genesis 38:24Genesis 38:26Genesis 44:10Genesis 44:17Numbers 36:5Deuteronomy 21:7Deuteronomy 26:13Deuteronomy 26:14Joshua 9:211 Samuel 15:281 Samuel 15:331 Samuel 19:61 Samuel 22:161 Samuel 22:171 Samuel 24:181 Samuel 24:191 Samuel 26:162 Samuel 1:161 Kings 20:361 Kings 20:402 Kings 5:27
Would you mind sharing the syntax search that gave you these results?
In L3 (similar in L4) call up Syntax Search and select The Hebrew Bible: Andersen-Forbes. Select a Segment (Seg). On the RHS Options go to Text Type and select Judgement under the sub-heading Divine Speech and/or Human-to-Human Speech. Run the search.
In L3 export to Verse List. If you have 4.0c beta export to Passage List!
Thanks so much!
How do I download the ".txt" file?
Thank You.
Right-click on the link and choose Save Target As...
Thank You!
Could you tell me where the "segment" menu is. And where the RHS options are?
In L3 you Add a "Text Segment". On the right hand side (RHS) are the options from which you select Judgement.
Hello
Thank you so much for your help! Can we do this type of search for all of the "prayers" of the bible? If so could you post it also?
Thank You!!!

Prayers might be harder to identify merely from syntax. But there's a resource you might be interested in:
All the Prayers in the Bible
Maybe there's some way I'm not aware of to search using Literary Typing (Tooman Literary Genre Coding of the Old Tesament and Mackie Literary Genre Coding of the New Testament). I only know you can use it in the Passage Guide to identify a particular passage's genre, but I don't think there's a way to search for all passages with that genre. It would be a good feature. I might just suggest it.
Great! Thanks
Along these lines, I was looking for all of the "thus saith the Lord" proclamations in the KJV and wanted to "copy" the results found in the search pane. Is this possible?
Were the Forum Guideline Rules posted in response to my question?
Thanks
Only it you live in a different time continuum. [:D]
You can easily do this in L3. Choose Bible Search and type "thus saith the Lord" into the search box (with the quotes!).
You can copy the results from the Results window or a Verse List.
No.
Asking how to use the Logos resources to target a specific kind of question is fine. Its not at all the same as asking what people think about a subject or topic.
Oh, Good Logos is the most amazing purchase I have ever made. It will be the amazement of my bible study life forever! Thank you so much Logos!
I think, after reading this thread, I will use Syntax Searches much more now. It seems to have a great potential. Wow. I need to find out more about it and learn to use it in more advanced way. Thank you guys.
