I know there is a large backlog of tagging to be done, features to be finished, modernizing of functions to fit modern computing standards ... and I know that all that stuff takes up all your resources. And using all that stuff and reporting errors should take up all my time but ... what I sometimes would really like to see in Logos is simply something to entertain me - think absolutely useless trivia (don't think of Bible content trivia as used in Sunday School) like:
- what is the earliest translation of a book of the Bible into Icelandic?
- what is the most commonly referenced verse of Matthew in the Logos library?
- what is the earliest surviving commentary on the book of Nahum?
- why is Malachi sometimes divided into 3 chapters and sometimes into 4?
- what is the least common letter in the Greek Septuagint?
- what is the maximum number of forms of a single verb in the Hebrew scriptures?
- what canons considered the Book of Odes canonical?
- are there other items like the ephod that we don't really know what they are?
- What is the average depth of the Sea of Galilee?
- How long is the Jordan River today?
- What is the circumference of the Dead Sea?
- In Jerusalem, how long is there daylight on the longest day? shortest day?
- List all the folk etymologies in the Bible.
- Whose name is a palindrome in the original language?
- Explain a Biblical pun that is lost in translation.
- What verse is referenced most frequently in the Babylonian Talmud?
- Give literal translations of idioms such as God's red nose ...
- What is the longest single speech by a prophet?
- What is the shortest proverb?
- What is the name of Noah's wife according to the Book of Jubilees?
- How many parables mention a vineyard?
- What is the most commonly read verse in the Lutheran RCL?
- Quote some humorous mistranslations ...
