Downloading resources & indexing

Hi, I have downloaded Logos 4 Mac Alpha 14 thru 16 but still have problems finding resources and indexing. The program downloads fine I think. After the "Signing in" stage, the home page comes up and the blue icon in the menu is present for a minute or so. The blue icon then disappears and nothing else seems to be happening. I have attached my log files so hopefully I can get some help. Thanks & God Bless.0724.Archive.zip

If you look in your /Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<some_other_id>/ResourceManager/Resources folder you should see several files with the extension .lbxclv. These are clause visualizer resources.

If you move these files to another folder and restart Logos4, you should be able to proceed. We've seen cases where some of these resources cause problems during resource discovery, but we haven't been able to isolate the issue.

Before you move the files, I'd be interested to know what the following command prints out in Terminal on your machine:

ls -l ~/Library/Application\ Support/Logos4/Data/*/ResourceManager/Resources/*.lbxclv

Hello Tom,

Thanks for the reply. I tried to find the path you wanted to see. Is it LexhamSGNTGraph.lbxclv? I copied it to my desktop then compressed it to make a zip file. However it won't attach to the email, also it cannot be opened in Terminal. Should I try something else? Also, please let me know exactly which file to move stuff to. Thanks.

Sorry it's been so long from my last contact with you, I had some deaths in the family. I took your advice about moving those files to my "trash" folder and after that restarting etc now everything is working fine. My resources downloaded and indexing began etc just like it suppose to. My only question is do I completely delete those ....clv files? Thanks, Lisa

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

As for the clv files, before you delete them, could you tell me what the file sizes are? Eventually when we support Clause Visualizer display you will want them.

If you open Terminal, please run the following command and paste the output:

ls -l .Trash/*clv

I have attached the file, not sure I did it right, but please let me know if it's not correct. So if I'll need them in the future where would be a good place to keep them and also prevent them from interfering with downloads in the meantime? Lisa1007.Terminal Saved Output.txt

I have been indexing for 2 weeks now and am worried that something is seriously wrong! I can't use logos at all and it says just "preparing library"..... I was just trying to download some books and Alpha 16. Any help out there?

The first thing to do is watch this forum for the release of Alpha 20 and then download it.

Once that is done come back to us if you are still having problems.
