Vulgate Interlinear

I am in the Vulgate a lot nowadays. The LXX, Vulgate, or Tanak in English translation would be great, as would the option to highlight words in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, or English, as well as to highlight words in the other bibles. Vulgate would improve the English to Greek NT and LXX translations, which already operate well enough (for quicker comparisons, whether for the bible student or scholar). In order to compare the Greek New Testament to the Vulgate or Syriac, or both at the same time, or the Hebrew Old Testament to the Vulgate or Syriac, or both at the same time, I would also want to see an interlinear and reverse interlinear for the Syriac translation of the OT and NT. How can I do this using Logos Bible Software?

I'm confused as to what you want:

The LXX has Greek mapped to Hebrew
The Vulgate has Latin mapped to Hebrew and Greek
The Tanakh has Hebrew mapped to Hebrew(?)
The Peshitta (Syriac) has Syriac mapped to (unknown manuscript) Greek

As they all work off different manuscripts (not a known critical edition), there is no accurate way map words between them e.g. the LXX we use as the Septuagint is not the same manuscript as the Peshitta used to translate from the LXX.

To do something similar to what you want, I do a text comparison with my choice of editions for:

NRSV (for critical editions, widest canon so the 1st column contains the text)
BHS in Hebrew and Tanakh in English
NA28
Targums with translation
Septuagint with translation
Vulgate with Douay-Rheims translation
Syriac with translation
occasionally I add Gothic or Coptic

There are LXX and Tanakh in English. Search for them in logos.com. You can highlight words in any book.

Is that a statement or a request? There is a Clementine Vulgate (Latin) and also Lexham Latin-English Interlinear Vulgate Bible. Search Logos.com

I would also want to see an interlinear and reverse interlinear for the Syriac translation of the OT and NT. How can I do this using Logos Bible Software?

HT: I received this hint from another user on using Multi-Resource to get English, Hebrew & LXX to work together to show corresponding words. I was able to add Vulgate and (Peshita informed) JPS TNK.

I meant the statement that Dave referred to as a message to interact and grow.

We cannot debate your conclusions/thoughts on theological matters. Vague as it is, that remark can generate a denominational "interaction" from which no one would "grow".

Again, you have to be clear about what you are requesting, and not include thoughts as they come to you.

Christian, what makes you think Gothic and Coptic are any different than Latin and Syriac as to how to add them? You need to think about how to generalize from what you have been offered as an answer to one question to all similar questions, e.g. how you add an additional version to the text comparison or the related how you add an additional version to the search results or the related how you add an additional version to a multi-view panel. I would suggest that you keep a notebook with the answers you are given for each of your forum questions and label each with a generic title e.g. how to find references to a particular book; how to add books in a multiview panel; how to identify the base text of an interlinear; how to identify if a Bible has an interlinear or a reverse interlinear; how to limit a search to Johannine literature; How to check Factbook, search encyclopedias, Wikipedia, Logos online training, the Logos wiki, and ChatGPT before asking on the forums ....
