Flash Sale on Anchor Yale Commentary thru 5/15

I took a pass on 3 prepubs ... but the flash discount was worth it.

Thanks, I was wondering if these were at an all time low price and whether I should grab a few.

Apart from a few volumes having been offered in the "Free book of the month" deals, $19.99 is as cheap as I've seen.

Thanks for the quick reply. I decided to grab both Lukes, 1 Peter, Revelation, and try the first series in Leviticus for its unique perspective.

I think Paul's right (lowest price).
For any new-to-Logos folks, doing commentaries economically in Logos is a combination of patience, and knowing what you want:
- The packages are usually the cheapest way to get full sets, but they often are missing latest volumes
- Freebies and monthly sales to pick up random volumes (get lucky)
- Every now and then, REALLY good sales to fill in gaps as needed (like this one)
I remember an ICC sale at $1.99 a volume (older ones). That was really great.

Legacy Libraries are great way to buy resources cheaply in addition to the Free Book of the Month sales - starting 1st and 15th of each month.

Some great commentaries gone live today on the Free Book of the Month link - in my opinion. (I appreciate we all have different tastes.)

I tried that legasy library page. Not questioning you, but it seems to just go in circles. I even tried buying, to see what was actually on sale ... removed the buy button! Last night I clicked a Logos promo and ios Safari went crazy ... serious threat! I wonder what's up at Logos-ville.

The deals are still live. It really is worth checking the homepage regularly. Most deals are live for a week, so you could even get away with just checking the homepage weekly. Most deals go live at 9am in Bellingham - used to be 10am until recently.

I have so many commentaries. What is the general bent of these?

Whilst this may be true, a few are recommended by DA Carson and the Gospel Coalition. Like all commentary sets, some may be very good. I've never bought any of these volumes before, but did decide based on reviews I read to buy the Hebrews and Revelation volumes and use the 30 day review to see if they might be worth keeping. My initial thoughts is they are probably worth keeping, although I have no immediate need for them. The price means they're worth a punt.

Well, now the sale is past (never trust ones memory of dates and thank you, Michael) ...
and checking out my new puppies ....
If you got the newer Ezra volume (or already have it), it has a great discussion of the Persian period (Yahud, as curiously barely documented), archaeological evidence, and period maps. Kind of unusual. Even a discussion of Christian Alexander's nomenclature for jews.
And ...
Just in time, today, the Late Hebrew sort-of-lexicon ships!
