Date keywords in Lectionary bar

I use a Lectionary resource every day ("Catholic daily readings"). To navigate to a specific day I usually type the day in the navigation bar, e.g. "Today", "Tomorrow", "Friday", "Saturday", etc. Normally this works fine, but I'm having problems with "Today" and "Tomorrow" early in the morning. Example:

- At 8:00 am I open the Lectionary resource and type "today".I expect it to open the lectionary of today, but instead the day it opens is yesterday. Similarly, if I type "tomorrow" it opens the lectionary of today, not tomorrow.

- So to sum up, early in the morning it doesn't work well with relative dates. Maybe internally it's working with a US timezone? I live in the CET timezone (GMT+1).

I haven't checked the exact offset, but sometime in the morning it starts working as expected.

Is this something we can fix?

The word 'parochial' has two definitions both apply to the logos as a company. I am sure that it limits the kingdom building capability of the company in so many subtle but significant ways.

I would wager, were I a betting man, that you have correctly diagnosed the problem?

Should the investigation turn up that the cause is directly attributable to a failure to consider the rest of the world, and should the company choose to address the problem, perhaps, at the same time, they could consider the company's use of date formats and ban the dd/mm/yy or mm/dd/yy formats that cause me so much confusion.

Are you specifically referring to our mobile app? If so, it would be helpful if you could reply in this thread with some specific examples, including screenshots, if possible.

If you are referring to general communications from the company, or in our Desktop software, you might consider starting a new thread in the General or Desktop forum.

Hi Joe (and perhaps apologies to Aristocles for hi-jacking the thread)

I thought with the promise that the team would be investigating the matter that I might ask you Joe, personally to raise the matter of internationalism when in company meetings. It is in general communications that the date matter is most evident. Writing to oversees folk telling them that their subscription is due on eg 10/6/24 is confusing. Is it the 10th June or 6th Oct?

Using that date format shows a degree of cultural blindness that is simply silly for a company operating in an international market.

I have raised the matter now - I don't think starting a new thread would be productive.

Aristocles - I hope this intervention hasn't derailed matter of the time zone problem from reaching a solution.

Here is a case in point. How many of your international users would know that the publication of this book is imminent and how many would just shrug and think that June is a long time away. How much trouble would it be to show Dec 6th 2023 instead?

Little things matter and can have disproportionate effects.
