Export Books to PDF or Pages or Word or TXT [KINDLE]

Hey guys,
What's the best way to export a whole book to pdf or word? I'm getting a Kindle and would like access to the books. PDF is good, but in order to use the text to speech function I need to convert it to word or .txt. When I press print, it only prints the page I'm looking at. Anybody have a Kindle and does this? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Pretty sure you can't do that, and probably never will. Just like you cannot read Kindle books on a Sony Reader, you cannot read Logos files in anything other than Logos software. The only way Logos can publish this digital content is to make sure it can not be simply copied and ported to other devices and formats.
I too have a Kindle and would LOVE that functionality, but I'm not holding my breath. They do have apps for the iPad and iPod touch, but as far as I know they have no plans to do anything on any e-ink devices.

If, and this is a big if, they write an app for Android, it might be possible to get it to run on a Nook or other eReader w/ e-ink that runs on Android. Again, unlikely, but maybe possible.

If I really want to read something on my Kindle then I copy and paste a chapter to at a time into a word processor and then I use calibre to put it on my kindle. It's not fun but it works

I have Logos *and* Kindle on my iPad. Problem solved ... [:P]
Mind you, I might need to study Proverbs 16:18 ...

If the book is available online at library.logos.com, you can simply go to the browser on your kindle, use the advanced mode instead of the basic mode and go to library.logos.com... you'll have to log on with your logos user name and password, but once you do, you can read your logos books on your kindle, and any browser on any device for that matter. I know not all books are yet available on library.logos.com, but more are being added all the time.

Wow Robert, thanks for sharing that. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow. Hopefully the wireless doesn't have to be the whole time.

You can download any book to PDF, Word Docx, or Txt file pretty easily depending on the length of the book. See attached pictures. Click on the three dots, then click on Print/Export. You can select whatever chapters you want to Print to a PDF or download Word Doc, or TXT, up to 100 pages at a time. For longer books you may have to create seperate PDF or DOC files and combine them when done.

It seems that Fr. Chris, who seemingly was a new user who last year resurrected a then thirteen years old thread, didn't know how to attach pictures to a post in Logos. But his description should be clear enough. If you want to print or export, go to the panel menu (the three dots in the top right of the resource tab) and select Print/ Export... from there
You can then select pages or chapters from the resource and print (including print to PDF) or export to e.g. Word
This works for up to 100 pages - which are not book pages, but calculated based on fontsize in Logos and the page capacity of the selected paper format. Does this help?

Hint: decrease the font size to as small as possible before doing the export. This gets the maximum number of characters within the 100 page limitation. You can always increase the font size in you destination file AFTER the export before sending to Kindle.
