Can we keep the choice of public domain free books from FL connect, as a fallback option for such cases? Like when someone already owns the extra free book from the subscription perks, they may instead choose one of the FL Connect ebooks?

Yes!! A hundred times YES! I know it's "free" (not really, because it's a perk; and if you already have it, then it's a perk you cannot take advantage of), but I'm still a little salty that what I paid for with FLC (the 3 free ebooks each month) has been taken away. I still will have 6 ebooks that I think I am entitled to since my original subscription expired at the end of the year. This would be adequate compensation.
Since this suggestion got buried far too quickly, and today is the day.... here's a little bump.
