4.0d b1 exporting notes and markups

At BibleTech 2010 Logos reps said they expected that 4.0d would finally make it possible to export a passage with personal notes and at least some of the highlighting or markups.

I now have 4.0d beta 1 (Windows 7 Ultimate on Dell Inspiron 600m notebook) but I don't see yet that we can export with the markings. This is the one step left to give Logos the highest possible marks from me. Without that feature it is much less useful as a tool for the teacher.

The Export function was added to the panel menus for Clippings documents, Information tool, and Text Comparison tool in 4.0d Beta 1. Export for Notes and Passage Lists may be ready for 4.0e Beta 1.

As far as exporting a passage with personal notes and some highlighting, do you mean being able to copy/paste or print text from a resource and have it include added notes and highlighting when pasted?

For example: In preparing materials for our small group Bible studied in our middle school camp program in July I want to

1. Add notes to a passage -- questions and comments for their small group studies and have those notes appear as footnotes when I print a section of biblical text for them. It should be possible to have a setting that allows me to choose whether I want to print my notes and annotations when I print the passage or export it to Word.

2. Underline, highlight, and add symbols to a passage I am going to export to Word so that the participants will have their attention drawn to a word or section or will have a model for marking another passage.

But now all I can do is see those marking myself on my computer (or project the material, of course).

I'm not aware of active plans to include user notes or highlighting (beside those listed below) with copied or printed text from resources. (Printing from resources won't be available in 4.0d; possibly in 4.0e.) Currently, only resource footnotes and citations are included with copied resource text, as in LDLS 3.

Note: The following Emphasis Markup styles are included with text pasted into Word (because Word supports them):

Bold Text
[Brackets]
Exclamation!

Large Text
On Fire (only the red text, not yellow outline)
Orange Outline (only orange text, not outline)
