BUG: Right Click "Search this resource" doesn't search all

1. perform a Bible search, setting the search range to a passage list.

2. close the search

3. right click on a word in the Bible and select either the English, manuscript, or lemma. Perform a "search this resource"

4. The range searched is the passage list, not the entire resource.

Not necessarily. But when I go to do a search from the right context menu and select "search this resource" I expect it to search the whole resource, not just the passage list. I may not realize it didn't search the whole document and erroneously think I'm seeing the complete results when I'm not. I expect the search window to maintain my previous search settings until I change them. I just view selecting "search this resource" as a request to change the settings.

Why would telling Logos to search a resource mean that the "range" would be automatically one thing or the other? That doesn't make sense to me..

Since it's possible to "search this resource" but limit the range to a passage list (just like any other limited range) why should it change it's range?

No. By saying "search this resource" my mind is thinking "search this entire resource" not "search this resource according to the perimeters I used in the last, completely unrelated search that I've performed." therefore in my mind "search this resource" fits into the "until I change them" category.

why should it change it's range?

Because i want it to. :-)

while I'm on my soap box I'd Like to make the following suggestion to the Word study guides. This would allow the verses to be exported to a search, which could then generate a passage list.

Being serious I have one question: On the merge options for a passage guide..which option gives you the ability to make a passage list of "whatever references only appear on one list or the other"?

I've been through this one before (with Logos) and it was very painful[:(] --> using the same analogy! Especially if I use Send Searches Here, I expect the context menu search to do exactly what it implies.

Hey, Phil. This seems to be fixed in Beta 4. Give it a go and see if you agree.
