I get around great on my desktop, but when I try to find the pronounce button on my Android phone, I can find it about 1 out of 100 tries. What am I doing wrong?
thank you
Hey Will,
Android is indeed quite different from desktop navigation and takes some getting used to. For me, confusion concerning the pronunciation tool centered around whether I was doing a word study on the English word or on the Greek/Hebrew word. The pronounce button is located at the top of the "Definition" category within the Bible Word Study of a Greek or Hebrew word.
To do a word study on an English word in Android, long tap a word. Then click "Word Study" from the menu. This will typically not present an option to pronounce the word.
To do a word study on a Greek or Hebrew word, long tap a word from a Bible with a reverse interlinear. Then click "Word Info". From there, tap on the 3-dot menu to the right of "Word Info" and select "Open Bible Word Study". This will typically present an option to pronounce the word at the top of the "Definition" category.
Yes , that worked!!
Thank you
I was trying to pronounce a Hebrew word.
To pronounce a Hebrew or Greek work…. turn on Interlinear… find the word you want then "Right click" the word then in the right panel, click "Pronounce"…. works like a charm.
Edit: Forgot to mention this…. but on the desk top in Windows… I can right click the "English" of the word, then click on "Pronounce" and get the same thing as using the Interlinear. I use the "first" method mostly for me… because then I can dig into the Greek or Hebrew if I so choose.
True for desktop / laptop - but Will is asking how to do it on Android.
oops. Sorry about that.
What map book shows all the New Testament places quickly and easily? Syrian Phoenicia was hard to find. As was Magadan.
Does Logos provide you with any non-English lectionary calendars? I think I found a German lectionary with the readings but I've not found the type:lectionary resource to make it work on the dashboard. I'm interested in other European languages as well.
I want to find all the occurrences of the word "heart" in Ecclesiastes. I would like to end up with a list of the words with the strongs number for each word. Can anyone help me achieve this? I have not purchased the subscription version of Logos if that matters.
Dear Folk, I'm trying to input in the Morph search box lemma:h:k BEFORE 1 Word@N to search for instances where k is before a noun. I'm searching for similies. When I type lemma:h:k it gives the hebrew lemma with appropriate hebrew letter, but when I try to add BEFORE 1 Word, etc. the cursor goes back before the Hebrew…
Good morning, Does someone know if we can create a collection with personal books ? Main objective is not to facilitate searching between these books, but to group some books in a collection to permit to add one book of the collection in a window, to set a synch group and to have the other books of the same collection…
