Save Layout to Disk, to share with someone else?

Hey,
Is it possible to share a Layout with another user?
Can you save a Layout to desk and then have the other user load it, etc?
Many thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
layouts are not really shareable due to users having different resources, different features, etc. in their particular Logos installation. In addition, the logic behind the scenes of the layout and the explanations for how things such as linksets used in a layout are arranged etc. would need to be explained and described separately …
A limited possibility might be to share screenshots and a document explaining how what is seen in the screenshot works.Wolfgang Schneider

Not really. As wolfgang explained, desktop layouts are currently too complex to be shared, and Logos has not yet built a document type for them. However, there's kind of a small workaround. The web app ( https://app.logos.com ) has much less features and configuration possibilities than the desktop. There are no layouts as we know them in the web app, it saves the status of the session in a very long URL. I made a simple layout that could be desribed as follows:
NIV 2011 is open in left tab to Isaiah 65:17 with RI showing, BWS is open in the right tab to the Hebrew word “rejoice”. In the left tab, Moody Classics Complete Set is behind the NIV and is located at the title page of Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress”.
it looks like this:
Even after totally changing what the web app shows: When I click that long URL the web app will open and look quite the same, just like a saved layout would work - and I believe this is shareable with others: When you click the URL it will look much the same for you (depending on the books and features you own - and the position in the Moody book is not saved for me).
I think this is a good workaround to share simple layouts with other users.
Have joy in the Lord!
