More keyboard shortcuts in Rich Text Editor please

Logos 4.0c added some keyboard shortcuts in the Rich Text Editor, for example, for the font and font size menus. Could you please complete that work and add keyboard shortcuts for "Bulleted List," "Numbered List," "Decrease Indentation" and "Increase Indentation"?

Once I'm busying typing a note I would like to be able to keep my fingers on the keyboard and control all the various formatting functions from the keyboard. It's much more efficient that going back and forth from keyboard to mouse.

I'm not sure whether Word even includes keyboard shortcuts for those items (perhaps you know what they are). However, I have asked whether Tab could be used for indent if it's not possible to have the others.

Word (and OneNote) use their "autoformat" functions for lists. So, if I type an asterisk in Word and then hit the spacebar, it automatically starts up a bulleted list. Likewise, if I type "1." and then hit the spacebar, then it will start a numbered list. That's the keyboard shortcut in Word. (I know, it's a bit different than normal keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl + ?).

Now, if the Rich Text Editor can be improved to do what I've described above, that would be fantastic, but I thought that would be asking for a bit too much. So, I would be content with a normal keyboard shortcut.

But if the programmers wish to do something like "autoformat" in Word / OneNote, well, I'd be even more grateful.

I did a little more digging, and in addition to the "autoformat" function, there is also a regular keyboard shortcut for bulleted lists in MS Word, it's: Ctrl + Shift + L. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290938 for more detail.

I don't see an equivalent for numbered lists in document linked above, but perhaps something appropriate can be used.

In L4, Ctrl Shift L shows/hides the locator bar.

If I may, I'd like to pick this topic up again. At the time I initially wrote, we could not find a simple keyboard shortcut which was used commonly elsewhere. In the meantime, though, I have discovered that OneNote has a keyboard shortcut for bulleted lists (Ctrl + period) and for numbered lists (Ctrl + /). If these keyboard shortcuts were integrated into Logos 4's rich text editor it would make my workflow much more efficient. Undoubtedly, different people use notes in different ways, but when I attach a note to a Scripture verse (or some other resource,) then I often have a number of key points in my mind that I want to record concerning that verse (or paragraph). Therefore, I soon as I have picked the "Add note..." function, I immediately want to get those thoughts down, and I frequently make use of the bullet or number lists. It would be nice, therefore, to simply hit Ctrl + period or Ctrl + backslash and start typing what is in my mind.

The basic point I'm trying to make is that working with notes -- by its very nature -- is a keyboard oriented activity. If I'm running an exegetical guide, then I'm on my mouse, clicking linking, reading resources, etc. But when I start typing notes, my hands are on the keyboard, not the mouse. Therefore, it would be wonderful if I could control the bullet / number list functions from my keyboard. Since the abovementioned shortcuts are known elsewhere (e.g. OneNote) they may be a logical choice to implement.

Alternately, Evernote, another popular notetaking software package, uses the following:

Ctrl + Shift + B Format selection as bulleted list

Ctrl + Shift +O Format selection as numbered list

Ctrl + M Increase indent for current paragraph

Ctrl + Shift + M Decrease indent for current paragraph

Either choice is fine, so long as there is some way to manipulate these functions from the keyboard.
