It has come to my attention that a rabbinic literature known as Midrash Rabbah may have inspired the parables that Jesus spoke. I would like to know more on this subject. On first pass, there does not appear to be any coverage of this topic in Logos. Any scholarly literature that sheds light on this subject would be a welcome addition to my library. Anyone who can steer me in the right direction here please make suggestions.
I am interested in the Midrash Rabbah itself, but I will make suggestion in a suggestion thread.
Here is a reflection on Moses as a shepherd taken from Short Stories by Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine: https://ref.ly/logos4/Notes?title=The+Good+Shepherd
