How to best use link sets on resources that contain multiple references to the same Bible passage?

I have a few commentaries that have two sections with references to Bible verses. Usually this is a technical sections with notes on original language words by verse followed by a commentary/explanation section by verse (covering the same overall pericope twice).

I may peruse the original language section of these, but I spend most of my time in the commentary section below it However, every time I scroll in the Bible panel linked to the commentary it takes me back up to the original language section of that commentary.

If I remember to scroll in the commentary section it will sync the Bible panel to it as expected.

This makes study using these commentaries pretty frustrating though. I'd like to keep the panels in sync, but I want it to sync primarily in the second set of instances of matching references in the commentary, not the first. Is there any way to accomplish this, or am I maybe better off just not linking in this case?

The problem adding a tag is this weekend … Jason said they'd take a look next week.

The usual way to handle mis-behaving commentaries, is to use Multi-Book, where you add commentaries (as an example) to a leader Bible (as an example). You might already be familiar; if not please ask more.

I'm guessing it's not going to solve your problem (2 sections in the commentary). But at least you can better manage the commentary, maybe.

And yes, the final answer is … de-link.
