Synchronization never completes

Running my desktop Logos, version 40.1.10, the synchronization never stops. Neither does it stop when i try to close the application. To shut down my computer or restart Logos the only way is to crash Logos. I run a Windows 11 computer but, from the threads in the discussion forum, it seems to be similar experiences on MAC. Is this a general problem Logos is working to fix with a patch or should it be handled as individual support cases?

Also running Win 11, and having this same issue, but I also have an issue with my system crashing due to my cpu heating up when the index crunch starts. I was just assuming the index has to complete before the sync can complete. Also, the newest version of the software is backed up, too, waiting on the index to finish.

Interesting experience! I decided to a more drastic turn, uninstalled Logos, downloaded a new setup file and ran a new installation. After a few hours of download and indexing my books (close to 7000) the program now runs smoother, much faster and synchronizes without any misbehavior. May be Logos should send out a more fundamental fix to clean up history on the computers?

I, too, have the same issue with Synchronization — does not seem normal action

I got the same issue. Is the only fix to remove and reinstall everything? It just never finishes synchronizing

Andre, I just force quit Logos, rebooted my computer and then it went back to working correctly. Reinstall is an extreme fix only to be used if this easier one does not work. I am on a M1 Mac.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm happy for you that a reboot solved your case, but that did not help in my case. I tried both to force Logos to stop and restarted and also to reboot the computer. None of these made any difference in my case. The solution for me was the hard way to un- and re-install.
Looking at all the cases in the forum about synchronization challenges like this, I still thing Logos should take it seriously.

See this thread:
Apparently, Logos is working on fixing this. I had the same issue, but the last couple of days it has been working fine. I have no idea on the current status of the issue overall.
