Saturday's Daily Deal: Holiness, Truth, and the Presence of God

I was looking at this opportunity today for Saturday's Daily Deal and the price when going to purchase is $7.99 or $7.59 if you get the extra 5%. So, not really a Saturday deal at all. What's up here?
More concerning than this is "Save more when you purchase this book as part of the Francis Frangipane Collection." The collection costs $59.99 which is MORE than buying the books separately @ $47.44.
Something is seriously wrong with this picture and I sincerely hope this is not common among Logos resources.

What is "Saturday's Daily Deal?" I just looked at the "Deals" on the Logos main page, also did a search for site:logos.com "Saturday's Daily Deal" and found only this page and another "community" page, neither of which explain what this is.
The only time I've noticed that a collection cost more than the individual titles added together was when there was a big discount on one or more of the individual titles, as if the collection "didn't know" that some of the individual books were on sale. I don't see this as a conspiracy or something, but I just assume it's not practical to try to make a temporary sale reflected in every possible way of buying the specific resources that are on sale. I don't think anyone is trying to trick anyone, if that's what it looked like.
So what's the "Saturday's Daily Deal?"
Thanks!

You have to use the Daily Deal code (DD2025) at checkout to see the 50% discount.
Discrepancies in price, as @Theophan Dort pointed out, are usually due to individual resources being on sale. Collections are not discounted due to individual resources being on sale, but they do go on sale as a whole collection from time to time.
