I can't sign in

I closed my Logos account and restarted Logos Max- it asked me to sign in, then wanted authorization - but when it came up it was Verbum instead- and all I'm getting is a white home screen, saying indexing will take 4 hours.

I cannot access the Logos version at all.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

If you reboot your computer and the problem exists, I would suggest calling technical support when they open this morning. Authorisation issues are usually best directly with the company, rather than on an open forum.

Ok I finally got Logos to open back up- the only issue I now see is Verbum is 41.2 and Logos is 41.0- and will not update.

    @Whyndell Grizzard

In your first sentence, you said you closed your Logos account then restarted Logos Max. What do you mean? You closed the Logos app and then restarted it?

You say you restarted Logos Max but it came up as Verbum? Do you have both Verbum and Logos installed on your machine? Also Logos Max is the name of a subscription, not an app: which app did you try to open and how? Did you do it from the Logos web app?

I have both Logos and Verbum- yes both have the Max sub- the Verbum was the only one I could open after I tried Logos first. Then tried Verbum which opened and had been updated to 41.2.
I then tried Logos again and made 4 attempts, including restarting computer- then it opened, it still will not update to 41.2 no matter what I try including deleting updates folder, etc.

It is open and operating finally but will not update.

I examined my logs, no error files or listed issues I can tell.

I’m operating on a desktop install- 30 yrs. Plenty of HD 12t’s, whole lot of memory. My computer is custom built by my son. He checked the unit no operating issue, he said definitely app issue.

Oh yes- I signed out them signed back in.

it still will not update to 41.2

    v41.2 doesn't exist yet.

v40.2 is the current stable release.

v41.0 is the current beta release (which I should remind you, comes with it's own risks, and we recommend testing on separate computer or virtual machine).

It sounds to like both installations are up to date and working properly. If you have any other issues with signing in the beta version, please report that in beta forum. Thanks.

    You’re right I meant 40.2

the current issue is returning back to the “default version “ it’s like it will not let me leave, I’m a captive.

What do you mean by "returning back to the 'default version' "? Do you mean downgrading the beta version to the stable version?

    That isn't supported:
    > Logos Betas cannot be downgraded to a stable release. You will need to uninstall, delete all Logos folders, then reinstall the stable release if you no longer wish to run a Logos Beta.

I have switched back and forth previously- my Logos and Verbum are not on the same path but are used on the same computer.

But if what you say is the case- then why doesn't Logos update to the latest beta version? No matter what I try I have been unable to force or cause the update to download and install.

why doesn't Logos update to the latest beta version?

If you upload full logs, we might be able to examine them and tell you why.

41.0 beta 1 is the latest beta version.
