Problems with the web app.

When Logos took over Wordsearch we were provided with Logos 9 App. To preserve computer drive space I instead used the web browser. Now that I have started to use Logos more, I find that I can no longer access the Logos 9 app. and suddenly the online version has become too slow. I can access one, sometimes two resources and the all I get is a slowly spinning wheel. I used to be able open a number of resources at the same time.. At the moment logos is useless to me.

Are you aware you can select which of your resources are downloaded locally when using the desktop app? I was wondering if that would help with your desire to preserve disk space

I'm not seeing what you are describing. I don't use the web app much but I've just opened five separate resources in it and, while there is a spinning wheel for a couple of seconds when a resource is being opened, using them seems fine.

What device are you using to access the online app?

I am using it on an HP desktop running windows 10. Yes, 3 days ago it was running fine. This is a recent problem. When I open my layout, either my ESV Bible opens or my ESV Study Bible, but one of them hangs up, so that I can have either the text, or the notes but not both at the same time. The same goes for commentaries.

I use the android app on my phone, but that is no good for opening multiple resources. I am definitely not capable of writing extensive notes on the phone.

I have just tried again now. My Notes opened, as did the Study bible, but there is just a wheel spinning in the window that should have my Bible. Without the bible I can't access my notes since I can't get at the anchor points.

Very strange - I've just tried it (on a different computer) with the ESV and ESV Study Bible open - linked together - and scrolling one causes the other to scroll without any problems.

I am using Chrome on both computers - which browser are you using?

Is it worth clearing the cache to see if that helps?

    No, I already tried that.

Ok, grasping at straws… I had a problem one time with a web app because of a chrome web extension. I think it was an ad blocker. Have you experimented with disabling extensions?

Or a simpler way might be to create another browser profile with no extensions. You could always delete it later.

Thanks for your persistence, but no extensions. I have found that it sometimes works with Microsoft edge, but it doesn't remember my working desktop.
